Meraki Wayy is a lifestyle brand, creative movement, and spiritual practice rooted in one truth:
Life is beautiful when lived with soul, authenticity, creativity, and faith.But the story doesn’t start in college.
The story doesn’t even start in adulthood.The first seed of Meraki Wayy was planted in sixth grade, when I learned how to build a website for a simple class assignment.
What was supposed to be “just a blog” turned into one of the most meaningful creative experiences of my childhood.
I didn’t know it then, but God was already training me — preparing my hands, my mind, and my creativity for something much bigger.That spark followed me for years.Fast forward to Bethune-Cookman University, where I spent countless late nights in my dorm room designing my first full website entirely on my own.
No team.
No help.
Just ambition, passion, faith, and the memory of that sixth-grade girl who fell in love with creating something from nothing.And years later, as my journey continued at Rollins College — through the Center for Spiritual Life & Interfaith Engagement, and even earlier in the DEI center at Alfred State — everything aligned.
I found myself surrounded by creativity, community, expression, and spiritual grounding.It was in that environment that I discovered the word Meraki — a Greek word meaning to put your soul into everything you do.
It didn’t just resonate.
It felt like destiny.From that moment forward, Meraki Wayy — with two y’s — became more than a brand.
It became a calling.
